In the Mid-Summer Retreat we gather on the magical island of Bornholm to celebrate the special period of the Mid-Summer Solstice. The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, when the elongation of the days changes into their shortening. Spiritually, this signifies the switch from the expansion of life in the outside through our experiences, to the resorbtion of all these experiences into our inner life.
This privileged astronomical moment is celebrated, as it has been for several years, on Bornholm.
On this lush, green Island, with its rocky cliffs, its sandy beaches, its crystal clear air and its vibrant nature, we will stretch our arms to embrace the liveliness of nature on the height of summer, and inhale it deep into our hearts, awakening ourselves to the spiritual life.
This year, the Mid-summer retreat is dedicated to the rediscovering of the ancient Nordic spiritual tradition.
On Tuesday evening, the 10th of April at 21:15, we will perform a special Invocation to God the Father, in accordance with a certain Psalm. In order to have access, you need to have a Natha student ID. Those who are not students of Natha are also welcome if they are accompanied by a Natha student. Between the 5th of April 2012 to the 9th of April 2012, Men and Women – Heroes and Goddesses will greet the Spring with a Tantrafestival-event, which will focus on the play between the masculine and the feminine in all its creative forms: from the close, intimate and erotic, over the hormonal, practical and psychological – to the poetic, sanctifying and cosmic.
We welcome you to this new function of Natha Called the Natha journal. Here we will bring you periodic updates about the life in Natha Yogacenter, sharing the experiences and events which took place.
On Wednesday 15th of February, Natha appeared on DR2, in a program called ‘’Laugh with God’’ with Omar Marzouk, the famous Danish-Egyptian stand up-comedian, where he visits different congregations from different religions, and also people who practice spirituality, in Denmark, investigating in his own humoristic way weather spirituality and humor can go hand in hand. In Chapter four of this program he visited, among others, also Natha Yogacenter in Nørrebro, where he participated in a yoga class and experienced the effects of yoga on his own body. In the program we meet two of our skilled teachers, and we also see some glimpses of our beautiful halls. The programs can be seen Wednesday evenings on DR2, and the chapter, where Natha was represented, can be seen here. It is delightful for Natha Yogacenter to participate in a program, where it can be seen that happiness, joy of life and humor are important parts of the spiritual life, and that these aspects are some of the things you can cultivate with yoga - and also that humor and a wish to reach a spiritual goal are two sides of the same coin.

Natha Yogacenter is part of Hella Joof's New Comedy, Sover Dolly på ryggen. The place that yoga holds in our everyday life is also reflected in a new Danish movie. On the 24th of January, parts of 'Sover Dolly på ryggen' where recorded in Natha Yoga Center. Hella Joof plays a yoga teacher, and the main characters of the movie, played by Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Lene Maria Christensen, have joined her class for yoga antenatal education.
