Healing
This section presents different materials about the ancient medicines and natural treatments and cures. Especially the ancient Indian medicine of Ayurveda will be considered by a series of great articles by experts in this specific medical field of knowledge.

Health has become a topic of great importance in our modern times, if it has not always been. Today we are facing more than ever a global fight with known and yet unknown diseases, due to both poor social conditions as well as exaggerated extravagant consumer cultures in the Western countries.

The solution for defeating this global virus of impurities and bad health might very well be found in systems of knowledge which we have already known for thousands of years. And yet which until now it has been basically forgotten.

Welcome to the world of ancient medicine!

Good health!

Clay has nothing to do with a vegetable or a fruit, unless someone shapes it like this. However, just as vegetables, it supports and enriches health. It contains many minerals and oligo-elements and has numerous qualities.

This very old therapeutic method is indeed of a rare power. We can say in fact that it is too famous, therefore it became vulgarized. In the literature in the past centuries, we may find astonishing examples of healing regarding to numerous conditions, some of them being often severe.

At first glance, healing with colors seems the subject of a sci-fi movie. And yet, this is the reality. Pains caused by arthritis can be  diminished to the maximum by irradiating the back of the neck with a red colored light, for 20 minutes. With a “relatively” similar recipe one can treat burns, asthma, cellulites, the injuries from a traumatism, hemorrhoid crisis, the state of irritability, psychic depression, etc.
Therapy with the help of colors is a simple treatment method (all it takes is a lamp and a colored filter), it is natural, efficient and very revolutionary. The French doctor Christian Agrapart says: “It is a form of energetic medicine, based on directing to the ill or painful area a colored ray of light, according to the affection. Each color stimulates the rehabilitation of the energetic balance in the affected area. The colored ray does not act through its power of penetration, but through its ability to integrate itself into the body’s defense mechanism. It does not aggress the body, as it is the case with medicines, but rather it induces a greater ability to fight a disease (a reaction)”.

Vata Dosha, Pitta Dosha and Kapha Dosha

AyurvedaFragment from the book ‘AYURVEDIC Kitchen. A complete guide to regaining an maintaining health by using the millenary AYURVEDIC practices’ by Sunita Gosh and Dr. Narayan Mustt

A biological doctrine considered to be the heart of AYURVEDA is TRIDOSHA. The entire philosophy and all the practical applications of AYURVEDA are based on the theory of the three DOSHA. AYURVEDA looks upon the three DOSHA as being the reference and analysis points for all the aspects of the body.

The concept of the three DOSHA is completely unique and it belongs exclusively to AYURVEDA. TRIDOSHA is a Sanskrit term in which TRI has the meaning of three, and DOSHA is translated as ‘what has the tendency of quickly coming out of balance’. TRIDOSHA (the three DOSHA) represents the manifestation of the five essential subtle elements – the five major elements, as they are known in the AYURVEDA tradition – within any being. According to AYURVEDA, all these five elements combined in different proportions give birth to the constitution typologies – each of us having a specific complexity with which we are born and which is responsible of all the physiological and psychological processes through which we pass during our life.

Ayurveda and Yoga - Two Twin Systems

Art and in the same time science of restoring and maintaining the physical, mental and psycho-spiritual health, Ayurveda is deeply intertwined with yoga, both being revealed by the Divine to the Rishis (the sages from the East). The subject of both sciences is the same: the immortal spirit (ATMAN), and their common denominator is the system of the five basic elements. Ether, water, fire, earth and air are emitted from the Supreme Cosmic Consciousness and underlying the whole creation. They structure also the surrounding nature and the human nature.

Music_therapy_instead_of_drugs_1The fact that in our society the individual seeks to calm down almost exclusively with the help of tranquillizers or drugs has become a common habit in our daily life. Modern man lacks the necessary willpower to overcome such awkward situations. Consequently, for him, the little jar of pills is the easiest and most convenient solution. But this does not exclude a whole series of discoveries that scientists and doctors in particular have only recently begun to make. New methods have been noticed and studied, which by their unexpected depth and their unexpected results make any of the allopathic or artificial interventions unnecessary.

In this article we will deal with music and its benefits. Music is created for people and it can make them feel better, when wisely used. Why, therefore should we not enjoy such help? "Who seeks finds," says an old saying. This form of courage, which will give the willpower and the daring to investigate, is often rewarded by an important revealing discovery.

HARITAKI

foods and herbs-haritakiThe Haritaki fruit (Terminalia chebula) is not randomly known and appreciated in the Tibetan tradition under the name “the king of natural remedies”. On the other hand, in the traditional works of Ayurveda, the Haritaki fruits are frequently enumerated as basic ingredients in the most numerous revitalizing therapeutic formulas, thanks to its multiple healing virtues. Ayurvedic tradition underlines the fact that the Haritaki fruits present a remarkable property: the Haritaki fruit has 5 (sweet, sour, pungent, bitter and astringent) out of the 6 known elementary tastes (sweet, salty, sour, pungent, bitter and astringent), which through combination, in different proportions, give birth to the entire diversity of tastes existing in nature. This specific combination determines, among other things, the regenerating and revitalizing properties of the Haritaki fruits. Recent scientific researches have shown that the haritaki fruits have important antioxidant properties that contribute in the case of their constant use, to the improvement of the living tissues from the human body. The Haritaki fruits have a rich content of vitamin C, that plays an important part in the improving of the psycho-mental and cognitive functions and contribute at the same time to a better adaptation of the organism to the factors generating stress.

Nuts

Foods and herbs - nutsNuts are for a good reason associated with the improving effects of the cerebral capacities. Not at random, nature made the inside form of the nuts, under the shell, look like the form of some miniature brains! Their efficiency in this direction is related to the fact that nuts are an excellent source of Omega 3, that contribute to the good functioning of the brain cells and of the best functioning of its neurotransmitters. At teenagers and adults with deficiency of Omega 3 the accesses of violence and fury are frequent, and at the aged persons the penury of the brain from fat acids of the Omega 3 type can lead to cerebral vascular accidents, memory problems and senile madness. The children of whose mothers had consumed a sufficient quantity of Omega 3 fat acids prove to have higher intelligence.
