The motto of Natha Yogacenter is Continuous Transformation, and the teachers of the school are forerunners of this idea. One of the most important instruments that a teacher has is personal example. In this view, the teachers of the yoga school gathered together for an intense weekend, aiming to give an impulse to their own transformation as practitioners and teachers of yoga and Tantra.
All year long they teach yoga and Tantra in Copenhagen and in 9 other cities throughout Denmark, but in the last weekend of June, the team of Natha’s teachers gathered to spend a weekend together in the vibrant Danish countryside, in the midst of its summer revival. The team was graciously hosted in the home of some friends of the school, who courteously provided the perfect conditions for an intimate and transforming experience for the entire team.
At the opening meeting on Friday evening, held in a room packed with enthusiastic teachers, Mihai set the tone that would inspire the entire weekend: The school is at the threshold of a new stage, and the teachers are the ones who are clearing the way for the others. This new stage requires a higher level of spiritual maturity from each of us – it is not acceptable to follow things blindly, it is necessary to learn to discern, now is the moment for conscious evolution through spiritual practice, the crystallization of the spiritual experiences and the application of the spiritual values in life.
The next day, Adina added her own special touch to the weekend – emphasizing on the model of spiritual fraternity, in which the relationships between people are very heartfelt, open, sincere, authentic and profoundly human. Indeed, the weekend was animated by a delicious intimacy between the teachers, radiating through every action performed together with love: whether it be practicing and meditating side by side, discussing issues, preparing food, enjoying meals, or sleeping next to each other in the crowded rooms.
Every morning began with hatha yoga practice under the generous summer sun, followed by a meditation. The day’s program unfolded with fascinating lectures, open discussions, meditations, and of course, some time to enjoy each other’s wonderful company and the beautiful location.
On Saturday we participated in the famous Brahmarandra spiral meditation, which was held simultaneously in many countries worldwide. Many students came to join the spiral for this extraordinary meditation and the fresh summer breeze offered the perfect ambiance for this uplifting spiritual technique.
When the time came to return home Sunday evening, there was a feeling of elation, imbued with an increased love and spiritual intimacy between the teachers as a result of our weekend’s experiences. Driving back to Copenhagen, I observed one of the teachers, her face radiant, preparing for her class the next day, one step further on the endless path of the model teacher, the path of continuous transformation.
