In 1977, a message of unknown origin was recorded by an American radio telescope. The sensational element, which remains unexplained to this day, is that a few months later a UK television news bulletin was hacked for almost 4 minutes by a certain Vrillon, representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command.

On the 15th of August 1977, the amateur astronomer Jerry R. Ehman took part in the SETI project started by Ohio State University, which used his telescopes, named “Big Ear”. On this occasion, he witnessed the reception of an extremely loud signal by radio telescopes. He printed the whole recording of the signal, circled the line of remarkable numbers which represented the codification of the mysterious signal and couldn’t refrain from expressing his amazement and wrote “WOW!” with a pencil in the margin of the document. Starting with that moment, and until today this exclamation (“WOW”) became the name which designates this type of mysterious message.

Is this radio interference of a human origin or is it an intelligent radio-transmission from our brothers (aliens) from other stars? We know nothing yet with any certainty. The assiduous research of astronomers has not clarified the source of the “WOW signal”, which was no longer heard afterwards during any such research.
Today, the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) from California is preparing to restart the research, using the latest tool for this purpose, known as the ATA, Allen Telescope Array. This new network model is composed of dozens of separate 6 meter wide radio dishes interconnected so as to form a joint piece with a sensitivity far superior to that of the world's largest single-dish telescope, the Arecibo Observatory. ATA became operational in 2007, having 45 telescopes, but will only be finished in 3 years, when 350 telescopes become active and are interconnected to form a joint instrument of very high sensitivity.

Beyond the banality of this news, it’s easy to realize that this huge investment shows that the people who conceived this project know many things and they are even sure that other extraterrestrial civilizations exist, especially since they were willing to invest huge amounts of money to build such huge instrument. “Soon we’ll start a project aimed at orienting ATA in the same direction that the WOW signal came from and at setting it as precisely as possible to the same radio frequency,” said Seth Shostak, chief-astronomer at the SETI Research Institute. Although that area of the sky has been investigated dozens of times before, the Allen Telescope Array might bring something new to the quest due to its extraordinary sensitivity and wider spectral coverage. Since the event that happened in 1977, the astronomers made efforts to determine whether the message that was picked up at that time had an extraterrestrial origin. But despite all searches, they could find no glitch in the system, and no source that could have explained the strength and the frequency of that signal, which lasted for several seconds. Since then, beyond any appearance, the "Wow" signal remains one of the major mysteries for alien-hunters, inspiring a scene in the famous “X-Files”. Ehman himself declared that when he saw the data recorded by the “Big Ear” Telescope he didn't initially think that it could have had an alien origin. “The 'Wow' was just an instantaneous response in writing, I had no expectations. I realized that it is still something extremely interesting and thought it is worth studying what it is or what it isn't more profoundly.” In 2007, Ehman updated his report for the 30th anniversary of the “Wow Signal”, but the conclusions remained the same: “The issue of the mysterious source of this signal remains open. We must admit we still lack information. We can only conclude that it comes from an alien civilization.”

SENSATIONAL

A few months after receiving the signal (WOW) a TV transmission of a British television station was suddenly interrupted by another message from aliens.
In the evening of 26th November 1977, in Southern England, something amazing happened. Using a technology that did not exist on Earth at that time, an unidentified voice interrupted the broadcast of the Independent Television News bulletin and delivered a six-hundred word statement, live, in English, to the viewers. The entire audio recording of that mysterious message is available on You Tube. The respective sound frequency started at 17.10 sharp and lasted approximately six minutes. A UK Government Agency tried to block the signal but failed. Shortly afterwards, thousands of people telephoned the TV station and the police. In the aftermath, the authorities apologized three times in a row for this interruption, qualifying the message as a common pirate transmission and even a joke, but the source of the “hoax” was never identified. This aspect is of a large importance to people who are capable of seeing beyond appearances. Even if this doesn’t mean very much to skeptics, for intelligent, intuitive people it is obvious that this total intermission of a TV transmission couldn’t have been carried out by anybody else at that time. This point indicates a troublesome mystery, which, given the fact that the message defines itself from the start as an alien message, makes us think that it was and indeed remains nothing but an alien message. This is the full text of the message sent on the 26th November 1977:
“This is the voice of Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, speaking to you. For many years some of you have seen us as lights in the sky. We speak to you now with love, peace and wisdom as we have done with your brothers and sisters all over the planet Earth. We come to warn you of the destiny of your race and your world, so that you may communicate to your siblings the course you must take in order to avoid the disasters which threaten your world and the other worlds around you. You should learn to act with love and wisdom in order to be able to participate in the great awakening, as the planet passes into the New Age of Aquarius. This new era of profound transformations can be a time of great peace and evolution for your race, but only if your rulers become aware of the evil forces that are now clouding their judgment. Stay calm and listen carefully what I will tell you, for your chance may not come again. For many years, your scientists, government and military commanders have not taken into account our warnings. They continued to experiment with the evil force of what you call nuclear energy. The atomic bombs can destroy the Earth and even the beings from your sister-worlds in a second. The residue of the atomic energetic systems will poison your planet for thousands of years from now on. We realized that this atomic energy is always directed against life, as we followed the path of evolution for a longer period of time than you. It has no peaceful application. Its research and use must end immediately, otherwise you all risk destruction. All your weapons of evil must be suppressed at once. The time for conflict and war must become part of the past for you, and the race which you are a part of may proceed to the higher stages of evolution if you show yourselves worthy to do this before GOD. You have but a short time to learn to live together in love, peace and goodwill.
Small groups all over the planet are inspired by us and are already teaching you this; they are here to transmit the light full of wisdom of the new-dawning era. You are free to accept or reject their authentic teachings, but only those who learn to live in peace will certainly have access to the higher realms of spiritual evolution. Hear now the voice of Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, speaking to you. Be aware also that there are many false prophets and spiritual guides operating in your world. They take and they consume your energy – which you call money – and then utilize it for evil purposes, giving you worthless dross in return. For those of you who were able to awaken you common sense and intuition, your divine, profound inner self will easily protect you from this. You must learn to be sensitive to the voice within, and it will tell help you separate truth from error, allowing you to avoid the state of confusion, inner chaos and lie. Learn to listen to this divine voice, which is in every one of you and start your travel on the spiritual path, by maintaining your perseverance. Let it be known that we have observed your progresses for many years now, just as you observe the lights of our vehicles in the sky. You know now that we are here and you know that there is, on Earth and around it, more beings than you scientists are willing to admit.
We are profoundly worried for you and we will do whatever we can to help you on your path towards the light. Do not be afraid and realize that what you have to do only involves trying to know and understand yourselves, in order to live in harmony and love on your planet Earth. We will now leave the plane of your earthly existence. Be blessed in the name of the supreme love and of the cosmic truth.”

We now reproduce the three messages through which the TV station apologized for the bizarre interruption of the program. The first two messages were included in the main news bulletin of the station, broadcasted that same night, whereas the third was broadcast at night on the Independent radio station.

Until recently, human kind manifested a satisfactory level of control over its major decisions. Unfortunately, in the present moment human kind is increasingly losing control of its destiny, due to the large scale use of so called advanced technologies, with negative consequences on the planetary and human ecosystems, which slowly become irreversible. From an individual perspective, the human being, despite having numerous beneficial capacities, even amazing ones, most often does not even suspect, that she has such extraordinary powers and, especially, due to the fact that she is not guided and helped to awaken these capacities, does not discover them or exercise them as she should. This is, unfortunately, the situation in the case of the vast majority, and you must know that you are intentionally kept in this state of ignorance, especially for geopolitical reasons. There are currently billions of you on this planet. Both the education of your children and your lifestyle, as well as the existence of countless animals and plants, are under the control of a small number of your political, financial, military and religious representatives, which, for the most part, are not well intended. The great majority of your desires, thoughts and beliefs are cunningly modeled according to certain partisan interests, in order to enslave you, while giving you the illusion that you are the masters of your destiny, which in reality is not true at all.

You must not lose sight of the fact that there is a great difference between a desire that is awakened inside you and its realization, especially when, due to your ignorance, you don’t even suspect what the true rules of the game are. When you manage to know the entire truth, you will be able to realize that, in fact, you are not the conquerors. A certain orientation or modification of information is an ancient strategy, which persists in human beings to this day. The induction of thoughts, emotions or even organisms into the invisible structures of your being that are not useful or beneficial, through specific technologies, is another strategy that is widely used nowadays. Many of the technologies that have extraordinary potential for progress serve, for now, only the great threats of enslaving or even destroying human beings. All these opportunities and all these threats, as well as others that will appear in the near future, are and will be a tough reality.

Due to your ignorance and inertia, you are able to see only the insignificant part, only the one that has been selected to be shown to you by those with the monopoly on power. The exhaustion of resources is programmed, just as it is programmed that no long term collective project that is useful for human kind be started or carried out.
Few of you know that the mechanisms of exhaustion of your ecosystem have reached already irreversible limits. The rarity of certain resources, as well as their chaotic, unequal distribution makes their price rise higher and higher and will lead to fratricidal confrontations in the hearts of your cities and villages in the near future. In the near future hate and wickedness will grow, but along with them love will also grow. Amplified love will allow you to maintain the hope in your capacity to find wise and efficient solutions to your problems. But you must know that the critical mass is insufficient at the moment, and a vast operation to undermine such a movement is already in effect on your planet, under clever and evil shadow supervision.

The great majority of human behavior that is shackled by bad habits and wrong prejudices from the past makes the existence of this state of inertia possible, because this perspective may lead you to a blockage. Those of you who already know this think that the responsibility for this belongs to representatives whose consciousness of the common good of human kind fades away in front of killer corporate interests. Even if there currently are numerous formal debates, there are very few substantive debates.
